Examinations

Students may take examinations if it is their wish, and they will be given every encouragement. However examinations may not by appropriate for everyone.

Excellent results have been achieved by present and past students in the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music examinations in piano playing. Since 1993 twenty students have passed Grade 8, of which nine gained distinctions including six with marks ranging between 136 and 140 (out of 150). Since 1991 there has been 100% Pass rate in all Grades from 1 - 8 in every year except 1997 (when one student failed).
